PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:
Hannah practices primarily in commercial and public law. She is regularly briefed as junior counsel and also appears unled.
Her commercial experience includes class actions, acting for receivers and managers in a complex and multi-jurisdictional receivership, oppression proceedings, contractual disputes concerning mining tenements and civil penalty proceedings. She has appeared in matters in the Victorian and Western Australian Supreme Court, the Western Australian Court of Appeal and in the Federal Court of Australia.
Hannah also has a national practice in public and administrative law, with a particular focus on migration matters. She accepts first instance and appellate briefs and is regularly briefed by Government and public agencies. She appears led and unled in the Federal Court and Full Federal Court of Australia, as well as other Federal and State courts and tribunals.
As a member of Quayside Chambers in Perth and an interstate member of the Victorian Bar, Hannah accepts briefs in both Western Australian and Victorian matters.
Before coming to the Bar, Hannah was the Associate to the Hon Justice Kaye AM of the Victorian Court of Appeal, where she worked on commercial, common, and criminal law appeals. Previously, she practised as a solicitor in both commercial and public law litigation at Maddocks.
Hannah holds a Juris Doctor from the Melbourne Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vienna, majoring in history.
