Hayley Cormann

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:

Hayley joined Quayside Chambers in 2019, after 13 years in commercial, professional negligence and health law litigation at the Perth office of top tier firm, Clayton Utz. She is briefed across a wide variety of general commercial and insurance disputes, personal injury and professional negligence claims including from the healthcare and legal sectors, and in disciplinary work for both health and legal professionals. Hayley holds briefs in the District and Supreme Courts, the Federal Court, the Coroner’s Court, and the State Administrative Tribunal.

Hayley is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (2012), and served as a Board Member at the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and member of its Budget Sub-Committee.  In 2018, she served as President of the Law Society of Western Australia, representing the interests of more than 3,000 members of the legal profession.  Until 2019, Hayley was a member of the Society’s Professional Indemnity Insurance Management Committee, a member of the Society’s Ethics Committee, and a Director of the Law Access Board.
