PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:
Patrick has a broad practice with experience across a variety of corporate and commercial disputes and industries including mining and energy, financial services, construction and consumer. Within this practice, Patrick has a particular focus on corporate restructuring and insolvency.
Before joining the Bar, Patrick was a senior associate in the dispute resolution practice at King & Wood Mallesons, where he worked in both Perth and Sydney. Patrick worked on complex litigation, including class actions, consumer law claims, shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, corporate insolvency (contentious and non-contentious) and general commercial disputes. He has experience in most State and Territory Supreme Courts, the WA and NSW Courts of Appeal, the Federal Court of Australia and various other State and Territory courts and tribunals.
Prior to commencing in private practice, Patrick was the Associate to the Hon. Justice Allanson in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
Patrick has also lectured at the University of Western Australia in Corporate Insolvency (where he was the unit coordinator), as well as tutored Civil Procedure and Taxation Law. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics and has been recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency – Western Australia.
