Penny Bond

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:

Penny practises in commercial law, specialising in disputes arising in the construction, infrastructure, and energy and resources sectors. 

Before joining the Bar, Penny was a senior associate at MinterEllison assisting clients with complex construction and project disputes.

Penny's experience includes advising and acting in large-scale construction and engineering disputes, contractual disputes in the energy and resources sector, insolvency-related proceedings (including public examinations), judicial review proceedings, consumer law claims, and building regulatory matters. 

Penny is recognised in Doyle's Guide as a Rising Star in Construction Law (Western Australia, 2024). She is an active member of the Society of Construction Law Australia and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Penny holds a Bachelor of Laws with distinction and a Bachelor of Arts from Murdoch University. Penny was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Commendation for Academic Excellence in law. Penny tutors in Civil Procedure and is a sessional lecturer in International Commercial Arbitration at the University of Western Australia.
