PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:
Steven is a commercial silk with specialist experience in banking law, corporate and regulatory matters, equity and trusts and investigations.
He has represented major banks, insurers and resource companies in a broad range of significant commercial disputes where large amounts, or serious consequences were at stake. Steven has advised company directors, receivers and liquidators, and trustees (private and charitable) on difficult and complex issues. He appears in trials, appeals and commercial arbitrations.
Prior to joining the bar, Steven practiced in the commercial litigation division of Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Perth.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Western Australia and a Master of Laws from The University of Melbourne. In 2004, Steven was the associate to the Honourable Justice Lee of the Federal Court of Australia.
