Tim Russell

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:

Tim Russell has a broad practice in commercial litigation and public law.

Tim has acted in a range of commercial disputes, including contractual, construction, directors’ duties and regulatory matters. He is also experienced in all areas of public law including administrative law, planning, land compensation, environmental law, mining and occupational safety and health.

Tim has appeared as counsel in contested matters in all State Courts, the Federal Court, the State Administrative Tribunal and in Commercial Arbitrations. He has appellate experience in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal and has appeared in the High Court as junior counsel.

Before joining Quayside Chambers, Tim held the position of Senior Assistant State Counsel at the State Solicitor’s Office. He was admitted to practice in 2001 and was educated at the University of Western Australia.
